Talking About Colorism Out in the Open
Celebrating the beautiful hues of our skin!
Embracing each other in unity!
The purpose of this discussion blog is to share information, hold discussions on various colorism topics, and to post questions for Dr. Culbreth and guests to answer via the discussion boards and live on air on The Dynamics of Colorism Talk Radio . This is where we will TACO (talk about colorism out in the open). Enjoy!

Can’t You See?
I may be black but I am beautiful from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet
I am not the lightest of light or the lightest of brown
I am the darkest of dark as you can see
It doesn’t matter what you say or how you code my skin
what matters most is the soul inside and the beautiful dreams within
So it doesn’t matter that I may not be the lightest of light or the lightest of brown
I am the darkest of dark and I like what I see
I am somebody with a warm soul inside and dreams as big as big can be
I am somebody not because of the color of my skin
but for the beautiful soul that resides within
I am black and I am beautiful
Can’t you see?
